Overview

It all began in 2011 after a pact was made to produce solid grooves that made people wanna dance lots. After multiple late nights and early mornings honing the grooves, and after a particularly inspirational session with some old Ethiopian Jazz records - Weird Together was born.

The duo made up of weird music lover Nick D and weird music sculpter Dick Johnston eventually went on to launch a live show, teaming up with a wide range of different musical folk from all over the world to create an explosion of sounds and cultures.

But all weird things must come to an end.

Nick D's packed his bags and is off to live in Japan so that's it. The duo will present one last bash to celebrate and to see him off.

A Weird Goodbye will take place at Galatos on April featuring none other than Weird Together, plus a number of ring-ins including Estere, P-Money, Chores, Aroha, Kev Fresh, Hopepa, Clark Gayford, Dan Aux, Slave, Chopper Reeds, DJ Revelator and more.

The extravaganza will be spread across three floors of the venue, intriguingly named The Rum Shack and Peter Fonda's Psychedelic Silent Disco.
