The New Zealand Music Commission presents the New Music Friday After Party. For the first time in its history, the New Zealand Music Commission is welcoming everyone to attend their previously industry-only event.

The After Party will be held at 1885 Britomart this Friday, to help get the most important month in the industry's calendar underway. Acts include Loui The Zu, Jupiter Project, Massad, Suren Unka and Thieves.

Zimbabwean Loui the Zu is a mere 18 years old, having already released two mixtapes (Look Book Side A and Look Book Side B). You can check out his track 'Fake Friends' here.

Jupiter Project, consisting of vocalist Correia and music producer Marty Rich comprise a duo dabbling in various genres, such as indie rock, alternative hip-hop and electronica. Their first single was 'Celebration'.

Massad is a 17 year old songwriter having released multiple singles including 'Tear My Heart Out' and was a finalist in the University of Auckland Songwriter of the Year.

Auckland-based electronic artist Suren Unka is the penultimate act, with some of his work evident here.

Finally, Thieves are a three-piece pop-rock band made up of Nich Cunningham (guitars, vocals), Kari Hammond (drums) and Jared Johansen (bass).
