Overview

Los Angeles hip-hop group Jurassic 5 will bring their laidback harmonious wit and classic soul roots beats to New Zealand next March, including shows in Christchurch and Auckland.

The six-piece formed from the ashes of groups Rebels of Rhythm and Unity Committee and released four albums and thirteen singles, including "What's Golden" and "Quality Control", before calling it quits because of creative differences.

The original line-up including emcees Chali 2na, Mark 7even, Zaakir, Akil and DJs Cut Chemist and Nu-Mark reunited earlier this year for Coachella before setting out on a string of dates around the world. This will be the first time Jurassic 5 have performed in New Zealand since 2007.
