Reel Brazil Film Festival: The Dognapper

Overview

A introverted nerd falls for a pretty-looking self-assured girl.

Plot twist: they meet and start dating after he almost runs over a narcoleptic dog that faints every time it gets excited.

Another plot twist: after two years together they break up.

After losing both the dog and the girl, Deco (the nerd) sets out on a mission to kidnap Guto (the dog). He also tries to win back Zoe (the girl) after she gets back together with Fernando (the stupidly handsome ex she started seeing again).

Let's be honest here. This isn't a film that's going to win any Oscars, but what it lacks in notability it makes up for in charm, humour and quirk. Expect a lot of idyllic scenery, dirty jokes and awkward love-related situations.
