Overview

It's Christmas in Palm Springs and the Wyeth clan are reuniting after six years. Brooke is home to celebrate the festive season with her old guard Republican parents, her apolitical TV executive brother and her liberal screenwriter alcoholic aunt.

The excitement in the air quickly vanishes when the family hears of Brooke's plans to publish a tell-all memoir airing a particularly shameful chapter in their history. The battle between truth and loyalty, family and social responsibility is drawn.

Written by Jon Robin Baitz and with an all star cast which includes Sarah Peirse, Hera Dunleavy and Elizabeth Hawthorne, this Broadway success is a clever combination of comedy and intense family drama. Nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Play, it was also a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize. Other Desert Cities is full of crackling humour, intelligence and, yes, even family love.
