Overview

Don’t pretend like you are too cool for Disney. Everyone knows you still plot Scar’s downfall in your spare time, and have a massive crush on Ariel, and compare all your friendships to Buzz and Woody’s. Don’t worry, it’s normal. Disney is just too good. And now all of your childhood buds are coming to New Zealand. In real life. On ice skates. It’ll be cool (no pun intended). Disney On Ice’s latest performance, Treasure Trove, is a tribute to the last fifty years of Disney’s animated films. Starting from Disney’s roots with the inaugural Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, right up to their 50th hit, Tangled, the medley features all of Disney’s most loved characters. The characters are portrayed by world class ice skaters, who perform the story through skating and dance. Peter Pan and Tinkerbell even fly. No matter your age, bungy cording is still awesome.

Disney On Ice productions have been around since 1981 and played all over the world. The Treasure Trove show premiered in 2011, following the release of Tangled, and has been touring ever since. The show covers the most Disney flicks out of the On Ice productions, with fourteen movies being covered, including Cinderella, Alladin, Mulan and The Incredibles. The characters come together in the Disney collaboration to find the true meaning of the “Circle of Life” and wow audiences with crazy ice skating tricks and true Disney goodness.
