SansArcade with Tricks & Sleeves

Overview

On the first Thursday of every month, Auckland’s go-to rock bar Ding Dong Lounge presents an alternative club night where attendees can cut loose to punk, rock, metal indie and everything in between. DJs can be found thrashing the decks in two rooms and there’s live music upstairs.

For the September outing, Auckland four-piece SansArcade will take the stage alongside band Tricks & Sleeves. Alt-rockers SansArcade recorded their debut EP Re Entry with local riff legend Zorran Mendosa over six months. Its release led to radio play across The Rock and praise from local media. Tricks & Sleeves are a four-piece who describe their sound as a blend of "current alternative/indie influence and yesteryear’s indelible 70s folk-rock scene." They released their debut album at the beginning of this year.

The DJ line-up consists of Fangs, Bear Drew, Jamie Rabble, Ctrl Freak aka Richie Bennett, Verwulf, Ouroboros & Dracthonia.

Free entry before 9pm or a tenner on the door. Forget about bringing your own t-shirt, singlet or cap, they’re all available on the door too.
