Food overload with dumplings Dominion Road style

Overview

Halfway down Dominion Road sang the Mutton Birds, and while I'm not a hundy on the other lyrics, I have a feeling that they must involve something about New Flavour and a trip to dumpling heaven. The fact that it is BYO is somewhat under the radar (as is often the case with these sorts of set up) but means this place is a must-eat.

The value is actually absurd, a plate of dumplings (20) will feed two people and is less than a tenner. Get yourself a quality bottle of $10 vino and this is a night in which you might for once keep the spending under control. New Flavour is a bit of a misnomer really, it should read "Old School Classic Chinese Flavour". Obviously some pork and chive dumplings will be a goer, steamed or fried you can't really lose. Spring onion pancakes and a plate of bok choy, the large menu will have you well covered with options.

Even though it's slightly out of the usual spots and a bit of a trek from town, New Flavour is always worth the visit. Make it a low key night and wake up Sunday morning remembering your meal.
