Taking influence from its shared kitchen with neighbour Ebisu, Tyler Street  is now serving up Japanese inspired delights while offering updated versions of their popular New York style pizzas and the on-trend sliders.

With stunning high roofs, exposed brick walls and industrial chic finishings including an original steel stairwell, this former garage is stylish and edgy - always offering up a bustling buzz. Along with the lively downstairs bar which often boasts live DJs, Tyler Street Garage has an enviable seaside north facing rooftop terrace warmed by an outdoor fireplace for the colder months. Come summer the retractable roof is on hand and the terrace of course has its own fully stocked bar serving an extensive list of flirty signature cocktails.

Upon our visit we started with tempura Bluff Oysters served with wasabi tartare, so delectable they literally melt in your mouth. Pure heaven. Next was the tasty teriyaki chicken, indulgent pulled pork sliders, the out of this world soft shell crab and the delightfully refreshing Tuna salad. Dessert was unusual but delicious; spiced apple donuts with warm chocolate sauce and whipped cream and to finish, a cheeky Caprioska cocktail.

And with quality food, great atmosphere, its enviable location and all the trimmings, Tyler Street Garage is a guaranteed good night out for inner city dwellers and the like.
